Tips for playing Texas Two Card
hold'em Poker - all ins
All-ins: when you get down to the last
amount of chips; for this example we'll use $2 on a $1-$2 table; once you've
decided to play that hand; instead of checking or calling; I advise raising before
the flop. When you all-in; your bet(s) are kept separate so that if you win;
you get the amount that was in the pot .... up to the point you all-inned. Meaning
that if you've only $2 to play, you can choose to all-in before the flop, and every
bet that calls will go into your separate pot; or you can wait until the first
bet is made; and by then you will likely lose two or three calls because those
people will by then have seen the flop and decided to fold. Either way; if you
want to play your hand; you are going to end up putting all your chips into the pot.
So if you raised before the flop and there were 7 others calling; you would have
had $21 possible to win.
If you had $2 and chose to call a $.50 bet rather than
raise; you would enter the flop without enough money to start the next game;
meaning you are already committed; and by then lets say 2 more had dropped
out; before you can even bet your remaining chips. You can see
where I'm going with that.
