Exclusive  Guarantee

My guarantee covers the money you most recently deposited.  It is a sincere gesture that if a casino (or poker room)  doesn't pay you on a legitimate cash-in  (without fraud/bonus abuse),   which is how the majority of cheating is done, by non-payment of funds:  then I will pay you with my own money the cost of your last deposit so that at the least,  you are not out any money from your own pocket.

No-limit Texas hold'em poker tips and instruction

No-limit Texas hold'em poker is played the same way that all other Texas hold'em poker games are played. It is the betting that is different. In No limit hold'em, tips are simple: be the best bluffer, or the luckiest fool to ever walk the earth.

Playing no limit Texas hold'em on line makes it very hard to read the other players. In fact its virtually impossible; pardon the pun. So its just a matter of time before you meet the wrong opponent with a better hand and you will lose most or all of your bankroll.

It is for that reason I seldom recommend "no-limit" Texas hold'em. Its a lot of fun to watch on television, because it's exciting to see the players betting all that money, but keep in mind it's not YOUR money, ALL of your money, that is being bet.

It makes a difference, trust me on that one. And if you choose to play no-limit hold'em, the time is coming when you'll have two aces, a deuce, a nine and a ten showing on the table, and in your hand an ace; along with an eight for a kicker, and your opponent will bet all-in.

Now if that were me; and I bet all-in, I'd have the full house, but I'm a cautious player, but when faced with calling that or folding on an ace with an eight kicker; I've got to call. And it will likely be my undoing because as my father once said to me; never accept a challenge from another man on his terms; you're walking into a stacked deck and the only real question then becomes...... how stacked is it?

So are you getting what I am saying here? If you are going to bet "everything", then its pretty much a one-shot type of thing. You are much better off choosing to "bet it all" at times when YOU are the one to make the challenge, because then it is done on your terms. The exception being of course;  if you have the nuts (the best hand possible). If its before the flop,  the pocket aces would be the best hand, followed by pocket kings, queens, and the big slick suited, (ace king same suit),  the big slick not suited,  and anything below that is not even close to being the best hand.

However with that said;  often times players will go all in while holding the ace king; suited or not: and nearly any pocket pair at this point is a shrewd challenge for the ace king pockets. In fact,  I'd more often than not;  call when I thought the aggressor was holding an ace-king if I held a pair of tens or better pair of pockets.

when playing an ace-king; I've found it works well to bet a substantial amount pre-flop but not a huge amount.  Say you're playing a tourney where they distribute 800 in chips.   In that case with an ace-king, you can safely bet about 125

although the tournaments have a progressive ante; in my mind patience is the key to winning at this game; rather than bluffing.

It seems to work for me that I will make some nice pots on bluffing; but I put the opposing player out of the game permanently with my all-in bets while holding a very good hand.

If someone else bets all-in and you are thinking of calling their bet, remember you may have a good hand, but keep in mind you're accepting into a challenge where you know the other person likely has a good hand. So in my thinking (being the cautious one that I try to make myself be), if I'm going to call the bet then I want to have a pretty good hand or even "the nuts" before I call because that's what it will likely take to win.

On the other hand, by choosing the time that you will go "all-in" on your own terms, meaning you will bet all-in first, that you usually will have a much better chance of winning with those hands that aren't "the nuts" because most times, nobody will challenge you if they don't also have a very good hand.

Of course, knowing your opponent helps a great deal in the decisions on such matters, but often when playing online, especially in tournaments, you won't have the luxury of such knowledge, and it is foolish to think you can know somebody so well from only watching them play for 5 minutes.

The really good players will likely try to "smoke screen" anybody they think is good enough to have bothered to take notice of the way they play, in order to set you up for the big fall.

So if you're unsure of your opponent, don't be too quick to jump to conclusions.

something I like to do when I get dealt a pair of say .... 8s; and there is only myself and one or two others still in the hand; is to go all-in before the flop.

Somebody with an ace or king is sure to call you and though I don't know the math: its been my experience (so far) that the pair will win most the time. The only time I ever worry is when a lot of face cards or an ace show up in the flop. you know the challenger likely has at least one high card; which is okay, because you still can catch your set for a 3 of a kind, but if you haven't bet it all and the flop reveals a higher card, I would not be as likely to go all in.

There's also the "semi-bluff" in no limit poker. That's where you bet big on the possibility of filling a straight or flush; but are actually hoping you won't have to find out whether you fill that hand or not, because you're hoping everyone else will fold. Be warned however, that there are those that will "limp" with a good hand or "the nuts" (the best hand possible) and they are just waiting for someone else to bet it all because they know that the worst case scenario is that they will tie.
